First off, I love jimmy johns and I am reviewing this location independently. The quality of food is on par with the other locations but I found the staff to be very unfriendly and you could tell they did not want to be there. The guy taking orders seemed irritated that I was there and just was in a bad mood in general. My sub was assembled sloppily which made it difficult to eat. This was a surprise to me since jimmy johns usually has great order takers and the subs are put together with care.

I am writing this review for the E.L. location vs. my local one in Las Vegas simply because this was the first Jimmy John's I ever tried and it was love at first sight. This place is so well located, while going to State I would pass by it at least a couple times a day on my way to and from clases. It's next to Blockbuster and all the bars downtown, so it's a great option for dinner and a movie or a last stop after a night drinking. The bread is what makes this place amazing. All of the subs are good, I usually end up ordering the Turkey Tom. The beauty is in its simplicity. Bread, turkey, sprouts, lettuce and tomatoes. Oh and extra mayo ha ha! But the bread, omg! I can eat two of these without any problem. The chips are also delish, regular or jalapeño are the best. Now I am an adult (kinda) and I still love the place. When I order it to go I am magically transported back to my college days and just for a moment, I feel I am watching Sex and the City reruns on TBS and cramming for my midterm in the dorm. And it feels great.

I love Jimmy John's. Their tuna sub is delicious, and available on whole wheat, French baguette, or lettuce wrap. It has this amazing tang that reminds me of soy sauce, which I've been told is a secret ingredient (not-so-secret if it's true!). I also like their veggie sub, but prefer it on whole wheat or a lettuce wrap. They've expanded their brand a bit to chips, too. If I indulge that way, I opt for reduced guilt (less everything), and typically only eat a few because I wager they're still awful for you. Quickest delivery ever, and so so so cheap. Nothing beats Jimmy John's at 2 a.m. after a night at the bar. Nothing (especially now that BTB is gone).

Why are people obsessed with Jimmy Johns? This place serves small, mediocre sandwiches at best. I used to get dirty looks when I'd talk trash about Jimmy John's, but I honestly don't understand the appeal. I guess people need cheap food after their drunk, and this place does stay open late, so kudos to them for that. As for me, I'd sooner microwave a Tina's burrito, or go some where for better late nite grub such as Bell's, Georgios, or Don's Windmill Truck Stop. Jimmy Johns- get over yourself

Messed up my order for the last time. Good for quick sandwiches. Bad to awful on any kind of special order. They lost their price advantage over competitors years ago. I'd much prefer a sandwich from Potbelly these days. Even when they weren't screwing my orders up the sandwiches are decent at best. If you order a sandwich and like it as is then good for you. On the other hand, when you try to order anything without their heap of mayo or add hot peppers they tend to screw things up. I've especially noticed this on delivery where they're batting less than .500 for my orders.

Dear Jimmy Johns, I truly miss you. Can you please bring a location to NYC? I always have Jimmy John's whenever I am back in the area. No one can ever replace the memories I have of you in college. The numerous times I had a hangover and the only think I could handle to eat was a turkey tom with cheese (no lettuce) and barbecue chips. Your "freaky fast delivery" truly lived up to its name. All times of the day and night you would arrive at my door in 15 minutes or less. When I win the lottery I will open a franchise in Brooklyn. Until then, keep doing what your doing. Love, An MSU Alumnus and Jimmy John's fan

I love jimmy John's subs, it's delicious every time. If your facility is too small to have a public restroom then at least allow a working man access to your sink so he can wash his hands. They about threw me out and made me feel like I had the plague for asking.

Oh, Jimmy John's. You are my de facto sub shop for your usage of quality ingredients including Hellman's mayonnaise! It truly is the small things from the cherry hot peppers to the thinly sliced onions. From the fresh made French bread to the variety of sandwich options. JJ is a standard for my fast fooding. They have good subs albeit they never change. In a pinch they have a $5 sandwich that consistently has the same flavor regardless of location. While this particular location has an odd setup where you have to backtrack the sub line, the food is the same as any other JJ.

I don't know why, but this has always been my favorite Jimmy John's. Maybe it's because this is where I first had JJ's, but this location will always hold a special place in my heart. Just writing this review is making me wish I had a veggie sub on that delicious crusty bread right now...

Strictly based on local delivery - We are in love with the service, food quality, and speed at which our orders arrive. Well done addition to East Lansing food options when on the go and not at home.

Why do people like Jimmy John's? Sometimes you want a sandwich on good crusty/chewy italian bread, with good quality meat and lots of fresh veggies like tomato, sprouts, and avocado. Nothing is too much, just the ingredients are better than most fast food joints around here. I'm down with the grease holes in the area, but sometimes you wanna feel good before, during, and after dinner. And Jimmy John's will handle that.

Oh sweet deliciousness. I'll take a Turkey Tom with cheese and extra mayo please. Who would have ever though you could or would crave a deli sandwich at 2am on your way home from the bar. This is a truth at MSU. Lucky for drunk Spartans there are at least 3 Jimmy John's within walking distance of the bar scene and they're open long into the night. This place is good both drunk and sober. YUM!

When Adam Sandler talked about Hogies and Grinders, he may have been stoned out of his ghoard, but he was definately thinking Jimmy John's. You can't go wrong at Jimmy John's. There are several within a one mile stretch along Grand River. They are addictive, they are delicious, and they are a little pricier than the alternatives, but that's ok because the "hogies and grinders" are huge. What more can you ask for? 5 stars.
